Care
Care for your new Sacred Mocs.
Ok they're pretty tight right? Good! They should be. So point your toes and wiggle all the way in. Now stand up and get your foot placed just right, now have a seat and pull tight on the lace towards the button and over the top of the button and tight again over the next and so on if you have multiple buttons. It's important that you get your foot all the way in the first time you put them on, as they will mold to your foot. They will start to loosen up within the first hour, some cases by the time you get the next one on.
The First Day of Wear
Wear them as long as you can the first day, it's good to undo the laces every hour or so and retighten them the first day as they are forming to your foot. The next wear they will become you!
Cleaning your Mocs
If they get a little dirty (daily wear, dirt, mud etc.) You can use a damp washcloth to wipe them down. Don't let mud dry on them; mud is hard on the leather as well as the thread. Also, salty snow is not good for them. But don't be scared to wear them all year round on a hike through the woods or on down the road!
Washing Your Mocs
Now if you wear your Mocs everyday, I would say your nose knows! Maybe every few months or so you can wash them but NO DETERGENTS! Wash them only with natural soaps such as (Dr. Bronners Castille Soap). To do this take the laces out along with the insoles and drop them into the washing machine. Hang dry them up high in a well-ventilated area they will take a week or so to dry completely.
Conditioning & Weather Proofing
Mink oil is what I use for water proofing & conditioning .Use a dry cloth dip it in the mink oil and rub in a circular motion all over the leather and let sit over night. Oil them every couple of months or when they start to look dry. NO SPRAYS! With the right care your Mocs will be beautiful, comfortable & long lasting Enjoy your new Mocs!
