I was in the midst of traveling all over the west coast late summer 2000 in my home on wheels VW Westfalia just off the road from way north Alaska. I landed in the beautiful state of Oregon, wandering around one fine day at an Art & Music festival in the town of Ashland I walked into the booth and there they were the moccasins of David Peek instantly I knew it was time for a new pair of walking shoes! So eventually I had a mold done and met David at the Eugene Sat. Market to pick up my pair .As soon as I got them on and walked away I knew I was to make moccasins .I had already been sewing for years making my own clothes, bags and hand stitched patchwork. Although it took some time, years to fine tune my art tried a video (Thanks Paul), researched shoe making and then the dissection of the only pair I had to see how a few tricks were done! So I took the knowledge of sewing i had already and the blessings of the last several years and began making custom moccasins. Something that was a thought that would not let go has become very Sacred to me.
